Do you like magic but despise the tournament play style? Do you prefer a group game setup with people playing casually and there to have a good time?

Then Elder Dragon Highlander, would be just your thing!

How it works is that you costruct a 100 card deck. This deck has 1 card that is pulled aside at the beginning of each game, called your "General". Your General is the basis of your deck. It has to be legendary.

The colors of your General indicate which color cards you can play in your deck. So if you have a Red and Green Legendary General, your deck can have any cards that are Red and/or Green, but it CAN NOT have cards that have other colored mana symbols in them. Your focus is Red and Green for that setup!

For a full list of rules, and a list of some special bannings of cards for this format along (only a few, just to make it more fair) go to : http://csclub.uwaterloo.ca/~geduggan/EDH_rules.html

Then rush right back here!!!

Each deck is a Highlander style deck. You can not have anymore then 1 of any card EXCEPT basic land.

The games are played in a group game style, with 3 to 5 players in each game, playing in turn sequence (clockwise). Each player starts with 40 life, but you can lose if you have taken 21 damage from any single General. Make sure to watch out for that!

You can play any cards from the beginning of magic, except the banned cards from the above site (semi-official rules) and anything banned in normal magic tournament play, like Ante cards.

Each person will register a GENERAL.

He is the only person who can use that creature!!!! So If someone else has the general PALLADIA-MORS, he can not be in your deck for that tournament! Make sure to bring extra cards just in case!

IF you are looking to register your General ahead of time, to get the one you want, contact this location, Northeast Wars or Jeremy himself (the Game Master) for that information.

The event will be on Friday Night at NORTHEAST WARS on April 3rd, and it will begin at 7pm. It will be an awesome event, and I already know people talking about it!

ENTRY IS FREE! THERE WILL BE PRIZES! How can you go wrong? Play for free, have some laughs and some fun, and maybe win something.

Come check it out at Northeast Wars!

The Elder Dragon Highlander Event was a GREAT TIME!

I think everyone had fun playing in it.

We had a total of 12 people commanding General's.

The final table consisted of Alan Webster, Ben Klein and Andrew Siller.

In the end, after Alan's elimination.. Ben took control of the game, but Andrew forced a DRAW via a 23 point Hurricane at almost 2 in the morning.. .

so we have CO-WINNERS!

Ben Klein and Andrew Siller

Thanks everyone for coming, and I am glad it was such a great time.
